Hey guys,

I have recently accepted that I was abused as a child and am looking for other people that feel the same way about their past and are interested in starting a group to share their stories and support each other on the road to recovery.

All I ask is a couple of members to attend meetings and I would be willing to work on all the organizing aspects to make sure things run smoothly .

All The Best !

You may also want to advertise in local media or local forums - a lot of folks who won't/don't use online forums may well come to an in-person meeting

This is the info posted in another thread here. It lists a lot of resources for starting a meeting - I hope it's helpful!!

Starting an ASCA group is an attainable goal and a rewarding experience. You can do it! All the support materials you need to start and maintain an ASCA self-help support group can be downloaded for free from our website: hllp*://

You can also purchase or download for free our primary workbook, the Survivor to Thriver manual: hllp*://

You can even observe how an actual meeting works with this PowerPoint presentation:

It may take a few moments to begin streaming depending on your browser and default audio application.
