Several people in the San Diego California area are interested in attending an ASCA self-help support group. You already have more than enough people to start a group! The next step is to connect with each other!

The purpose of this discussion forum is to connect adult survivors of child abuse that live in and around the San Diego California area so that they may organize and create an ASCA self-help support group.

An e-mail was sent to subscribers of the ASCA newsletter directing them to this post. If you live in this area and are interested in starting or attending an ASCA support group meeting, please post your support and ideas for organizing.

To communicate privately amongst each other, make sure to enable the e-mail option when you register so that you may send e-mails to each other privately. You will also need to make at least one post so that people can contact you.

I encourage you to post on the forum itself, rather than only privately e-mailing each other, otherwise, it's like being in a town hall, where instead of people talking to the whole group, they're just talking to one person sitting next to them, and the whole group really doesn't know what's being discussed, therefore others will not have a chance to contribute to the conversation and collaborate.

You will need to register before you can post to the forum.

Hi, I was wondering if there is a way if I can join the support group again? I went to group therapy a couple of months ago, but left when it came the time to share our stories with each other. I was scared of what I was going to hear and scared to tell my own. I don't really know if I am ready to do this again, but I just want to get better.
